Nasri Mohd Jamal

Prior to joining Worldwide Holdings Berhad in March 2020, Nasri was the Head of Finance & Strategy at UEM Group Berhad’s Technical Division.  He was responsible for the project finance and budget management of UEM Group Berhad’s joint construction for the Merdeka PNB118 Project.

 

He clocked majority of his finance career at UEM Group Berhad, where he held several finance and corporate positions in UEM’s operating firms in Malaysia and India.  In 2014, he was seconded to India as the Head of Finance for PLUS Expressways International Berhad to manage a highway investment of RM300 million.  There, he piloted the roll-out of Heavy Repairs Procurement and oversaw the delivery of a new financing framework on a 25-year concession and business turnaround.

 

Upon his return to Malaysia, he was given a position of increasing responsibility in the Group Managing Directors’ Office of UEM Group Berhad to manage the Engineering and Construction portfolio, namely UEM Builders Berhad, where he led the Divestment, Turnaround exercise, and Right Sizing Plan for four years.  During this time, he was in charge of project finance and cost control for ten construction projects, as well as budget management for two major government projects totalling RM2.1 Billion: the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Viaduct and Elevated Stations and the Women and Children’s Hospital (WACH).

He is a chartered accountant with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), having graduated from Oxford Brookes University with a BSc (Hons) in Accounting. He is also a licenced company secretary in charge of several subsidiaries in the Worldwide Holdings Group of Companies.  Currently at Worldwide Holding Berhad, Nasri is responsible for directing the Group Corporate Finance and Development activities, Strategy, and Transformation initiatives.
