To be a leading conglomerate by delivering high quality, reliable and cost-effective products and services.
Our story began in 1965 as a plantation company known as Tholec Limited. Tholec then became a public
company after it was listed in the Malaysia and Singapore Stock Exchange after two years of
operation. In 1971, Tholec changed its name to Worldwide Holdings Berhad.
In 1989, Worldwide Holdings embarked on a major restructuring exercise with a relisting on the Bursa
Malaysia Securities. With injected assets from three companies under the Kumpulan Perangsang
Selangor, Worldwide Holdings was taken under the wings of the investment holding company.
Since then, Worldwide Holdings has been involved in a diverse range of industries, namely property
development and investment, timber trading, infrastructure development, television broadcasting,
solid waste management, overseas investment and investment holding.
In 2008, Worldwide Holding was taken private again and was subsequently delisted from Bursa
Malaysia. Now a wholly owned subsidiary of Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Selangor (PKNS), Worldwide
Holdings focuses on four main business: property, environment, medical and energy. All these core
businesses are aligned to meet the needs and demands of today’s discerning consumers.
