KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 5 — Worldwide Holdings Berhad started the new year with the ‘WHB Enviro Battlefield Challenge 2020’ programme at National Botanical Gardens, Shah Alam on February 1, 2020.
The programme, which gained the participation of 200 participants including students from local schools and varsities, highlighted the importance of recycling through a myriad of challenging green activities.
Among the exciting activities conducted were creating roof thatch (atap) from bertam leaves, launching the giant slingshot, and shooting apples with bow and arrow.
Working hand-in-hand with Worldwide Holdings Berhad in organising the programme is one of its subsidiaries, Worldwide Landfills Sdn Bhd.
The Group Chief Executive Officer, Datin Paduka Norazlina Zakaria who was also present during the programme, hopes that the small event would nurture a deep-rooted love for nature among the younger generations and create a significant impact for the betterment of future generations.
Worldwide Holdings Berhad was one of the select corporations that was honoured with CSR Malaysia Awards organised by CSR Malaysia Publications last year as a recognition for its corporate social responsibility efforts.
