SUNGAI SABAI, 1 July 2025 - A major step forward in sustainable waste management was marked today with the official commencement of operations at the Sungai Sabai Sanitary Landfill.
On 1 July 2025, the facility began its full-scale operations with the first official intake of domestic waste. This milestone reinforces Hulu Selangor’s commitment to responsible and efficient solid waste management, supporting the region’s broader environmental goals.
The launch ceremony was officiated by YBrs. Puan Julaihah binti Jamaludin, Yang Dipertua of the Hulu Selangor Municipal Council (MPHS), and attended by Y.A.D Raja Dato’ Muzaffar bin Raja Redzwa, Orang Besar Daerah Hulu Selangor, along with representatives from key government agencies and stakeholders.
