PULAU INDAH, 30th September 2025 - Malaysia’s energy transition reached a significant milestone with the inauguration of the Pulau Indah Power Plant (PIPP). The 1,200MW natural gas facility is now fully operational, supplying reliable and cleaner energy to the national grid while strengthening the nation’s long-term energy security.

The inauguration ceremony was officiated by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation, YAB Dato’ Sri Haji Fadillah Yusof. Also in attendance were Selangor Menteri Besar, YAB Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari, and Group Chief Executive Officer of Worldwide Holdings Berhad, Datin Paduka Norazlina Zakaria, along with government officials, energy sector leaders and international partners, reflecting the strong collaboration that made this milestone possible.

Developed and owned by Pulau Indah Power Plant Sdn. Built on a 60-acre reclaimed site in Pulau Indah, the facility will play a crucial role in meeting peak electricity demand in the Klang Valley while contributing to the Government’s National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR).
