PULAU INDAH – The construction of Pulau Indah Power Plant (PIPP) marked a major milestone upon the erection of the first Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) steel structure earlier this year.
A small intimate celebration was held at Pulau Indah Power Plant (PIPP) on 22nd March 2022. The ceremony was attended by representatives from teams and collaborators involved in the construction of the power plant from PIPP to KEPCO, WPMC and PEC Powercon, including POSCO E&C and Mitsubishi Corporation.
The ceremony began with an opening speech by Mr. Ku Young Hwan, Director of PEC Powercon Sdn Bhd. In his speech, he explained the significance of the structure erection to the project, which is a major milestone for the development of the power plant. He concluded his speech by presentation of tokens of appreciation to employees of contractors who have demonstrated excellence in their work performance.
Next, En. Kamal Zaharin Nazir, the Chief Financial Officer of Worldwide Holdings and member of PIPP Board of Directors, who on behalf of Worldwide Holdings’ Group CEO took the opportunity to congratulate all the parties involved and urged for everyone’s commitment and compliance in ensuring the success of the project.
