BESTARI JAYA, 10 February 2026 - Worldwide Holdings Berhad marked a significant milestone with the successful groundbreaking ceremony of the Bestari Solar Photovoltaic Farm, reinforcing its commitment to supporting Selangor’s green economy and Malaysia’s energy transition.
The ceremony was officiated by YAB Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari, Dato’ Menteri Besar Selangor, and attended by state leaders, corporate representatives, community partners, contractors, consultants, and vendors. The occasion symbolised a shared commitment towards advancing renewable energy development in the state.
Spanning more than 430 hectares with a generation capacity of 300MWac, the project will become Malaysia’s largest floating solar farm and among the largest in Southeast Asia. Developed under the LSS5 programme, the initiative supports the national target of achieving 40 per cent renewable energy capacity by 2035, while promoting responsible land use and creating long-term socio-economic benefits.
