WHB AND USTEU HONG KONG LIMITED COLLABORATE ON EV CHARGING INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT IN SELANGOR

SHAH ALAM, 28 April 2026 - Worldwide Holdings Berhad (WHB) has formalised the exchange of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with USTEU Hong Kong Limited, marking the beginning of a strategic collaboration to strengthen electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure development across Selangor.

Through this collaboration, up to 4,000 EV charging stations are planned to be developed throughout the state by 2030. The initiative supports Selangor’s aspiration to strengthen its low-carbon mobility ecosystem while accelerating the transition towards cleaner energy solutions.

The planned development is expected to improve public access to EV charging facilities, encourage wider adoption of electric vehicles among consumers and industry players, enhance infrastructure readiness in urban areas and growth corridors, and contribute towards reducing carbon emissions.

Under the collaboration, USTEU Hong Kong Limited will provide technological expertise, while WHB will serve as the programme manager for the EV infrastructure development initiative.

This collaboration reflects a shared commitment towards positioning Selangor as a leading state in sustainable mobility and renewable energy development in Malaysia.
