SHAH ALAM, 6 May 2026 - The Group Corporate Communications & Sustainability Division of Worldwide Holdings Berhad (WHB) organised a two-day carbon calculation training workshop for internal staff at Mercu Worldwide.
The workshop, titled “Carbon Accounting & Practical Carbon Calculation”, was conducted by CAD Training Centre – Knowledge Tree, a corporate training provider specialising in sustainability-related learning programmes. The session focused on practical approaches to identifying carbon hotspots across WHB’s four business units, developing carbon inventories, and strengthening understanding of sustainability initiatives and their measurable impact.
Participants were also exposed to current regulatory and market developments, including the European Union’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), carbon tax requirements, and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) reporting expectations.
Approximately 40 staff members from various business sectors and shared service divisions across the Group participated in the programme. Heads of Department (HODs) also attended the morning session on the first day to observe and support the initiative.
The workshop featured interactive learning sessions, group activities at the end of each module, and active discussions through question-and-answer engagements. These activities provided participants with clearer insights into sustainability practices and how their individual roles contribute towards the Group’s wider ESG and sustainability goals.
Through programmes such as this, WHB continues to strengthen internal awareness and capability in sustainability practices while supporting the Group’s long-term environmental commitments and corporate sustainability agenda.
