JERAM, 31 JULY 2026 - Worldwide Holdings Berhad Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO), Encik Ahmad Zaki Zainudin, conducted an official visit to Jeram, the upcoming site of the Integrated Solid Waste Management Centre (ISWMC), while engaging with the Environment Division team from across operating sites.
The itinerary commenced with a town hall session, providing employees with a direct platform to engage with the GCEO, exchange innovative ideas, and align on strategic opportunities moving forward.
Following the town hall, the GCEO conducted a comprehensive tour of two core operational sites—the Jeram Waste-to-Energy (WTE) Facility and the Jeram Sanitary Landfill—gaining first-hand insights into the Group’s end-to-end waste management operations.
As one of Malaysia’s landmark Waste-to-Energy infrastructures, the Jeram WTE 1 Facility processes up to 1,500 tonnes of municipal solid waste daily, converting waste into clean renewable electricity while significantly reducing reliance on traditional landfills. Operating alongside the plant, the Jeram Sanitary Landfill ensures that remaining residual waste is managed safely and responsibly, completing an integrated, sustainable waste management ecosystem.
Engagements of this nature reinforce the overarching mission of Worldwide Holdings Berhad: driving cleaner operations, implementing smarter waste management solutions, and advancing a greener future, with the development of the ISWMC marking the next major milestone in this transformation.
