GENTING HIGHLAND, 10 AUGUST 2026 - In a celebrated endorsement of its green technology leadership, Worldwide Entech Sdn Bhd—a subsidiary of Worldwide Holdings Berhad—was officially presented with the Industry Innovation Recognition at the prestigious 4th Edition Waste Management Association of Malaysia (WMAM) Recognition Awards 2026.
This milestone accolade reflects the organization's steadfast dedication to revolutionizing solid waste management in Selangor. Central to this achievement is the Integrated Solid Waste Management Centre (ISWMC) and its landmark Waste-to-Energy (WTE) facilities, including the flagship Jeram WTE plant. Together, these technological developments are engineered to process up to 3,000 tonnes of municipal solid waste daily, converting waste into 50 MW of clean, renewable energy.
By achieving an impressive 90% reduction in total waste volume, Worldwide Entech significantly mitigates long-term environmental impacts and drastically reduces dependence on traditional engineered landfills.
Worldwide Holdings Berhad and Worldwide Entech express their sincere gratitude to the Waste Management Association of Malaysia (WMAM) for this esteemed recognition. The award reinforces the Group’s commitment to advancing a circular economy and accelerating Malaysia’s transition toward a sustainable, lower-carbon future.
